Somewhere in Myanmar is a forest rich in amber and controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Most of its inhabitants work in a mine, digging the earth night and days in the hope of finding the precious ore that will get them out of poverty. But on top of the excruciating hardship of the work, they also have to fear an attack from the army.。故事的主人公朱小强是一个打不死的小强。曾经是一名优秀军人的他，执行任务受伤失忆后，回到了普通人的生活。但是他依然努力的工作，尽责的照顾家人，勇敢的面对自己。他为国家和家人付出一切无怨无悔，国家和亲人们也给予了他从物质到精神的无限关爱。最终他找回了自己的一切，又义无反顾的站在了对敌斗争的第一线。主人公作为和平年代中的退伍军人形象，体现了充满自我牺牲精神的援助人道主义精神，呈现了我国军警人员奋不顾身守护国民生命安全的决心，表达了主旋律、正义、铁血柔情等的主题。。
