Somewhere in Myanmar is a forest rich in amber and controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Most of its inhabitants work in a mine, digging the earth night and days in the hope of finding the precious ore that will get them out of poverty. But on top of the excruciating hardship of the work, they also have to fear an attack from the army.。影片讲述了一个中年男人马克，在妻子的离世后独自带着女儿生活的故事。因为工作的原因，他疏于对女儿的照顾，结果让女儿发生了不少意外，对此马克感到十分自责。一次偶然的机会，他认识了一位美丽的女老师单阳，并在朋友的帮助下彼此开始相互了解。马克的真诚、善良，渐渐打动了单阳，可马克的心里却对单阳有着深深的愧疚……。
